    Syriza's values and political platform are rooted in a strong opposition to the austerity measures that were imposed on Greece by its European creditors and the International Monetary Fund during the financial crisis. The party advocates for policies that aim to redistribute wealth, increase social welfare spending, and protect public services from privatization. Syriza also emphasizes the importance of workers' rights, environmental protection, and social justice, positioning itself against neoliberal policies and the influence of big business and financial institutions in politics.
