While I would rather it be a choice, Greece has too small population for this. At least, it should start from nine months instead of one year.

Military service would be more effective if broken down in smaller time spans for the years one is eligible to be called to the military. In addition, a focus on skill development is needed.

No, but lowered to three to two months of pure military training in order to to better utilize the time and not burden the men for too long
